The development of a new intelligent transport system for drivers’ and passengers’ informations at Kalamata city was recently assigned to AMCO SA, as a joint venture with INFOTRIP SA company. The project includes fleet management and passenger information software for the city buses as well as infomobility software for constant monitoring and drivers’ information of traffic conditions. The drivers will be informed about traffic conditions, route durations and off-street parking spaces availability via variable message sign LED displays. Also, the project includes on-board computers for the city buses and smart bus stop LED displays for passenger information.
