AMCO S.A. signed a contract with Municipality of Nemea for the implementation of an AMR system for water consumption. The project includes installation of volumetric water meters at home consumers as well as at municipality’s water tanks. Also, the project includes the AMR equipment which reads the consumption data and sends them wirelessly to the management software in real time. The management software generates reports regarding the consumptions and sends alarms to the users, based on specific consumption thresholds.
Citizens will be able to check their consumptions and pay their bills on-line by using a web portal developed especially within the context of this project. The same functionality will be provided through a smartphone application.
Finally, the citizens will be able to receive information regarding best practices for reduced water consumption and sustainable development by protecting the environment.
