AMCO is awarded project for the implementation of an Automatic Fare Collection System in Tel Aviv. AMCO, as a subcontractor of Malam Team, will deliver driver consoles and smart card validators, for the 1.300 buses of DAN. Dan operates public transport services in metropolitan area of Tel Aviv. Dan buses transport monthly over 14 million passengers (about 640 thousand per day).

The devices are designed and manufactured by AMCO and they are of the latest technology. Validators and drivers consoles support NFC, Calypso, EMV payments and paper/mobile QR Code tickets. The first phase of the project includes 1,300 pcs of NEXO-360 driver consoles and 4,100 pcs of SV-360 validators. The second phase of the project includes 600 pcs of on-board ticket vending machines for the buses.

The tender was published by the Ministry of Transport of Israel and it’s the first in the framework of the modernization of ticketing systems for all the bus operators of the country.
